All graduate nurse-midwives or nurses from accredited nursing schools who pass the national licensing examination will be registered and issued a nursing, midwifery, or nursing &midwifery license from the Thailand Nursing and Midwifery Council (TNMC). These graduates should pass all the subjects required by the TNMC in the national licensing examination. Their licenses have to be renewed every five years. The requirement for renewal is 50 unit-hours of continuing nursing education (CNEU).
Renewal after License Expiration
Licensees who hold expired license have to take a national licensing examination according to the following conditions:
1) Those who have already collected50 CNEU hours since the last license renewal,and applies for the renewal within one year after the expired date must take an exam on ‘Law and Ethics in Nursing’.
2) Those who have not yet collected 50 CNEU hours must retake all subjects of the national licensing examination.
